"What was your favorite thing about Cairo Caravan?"
Everything! There's dancing, shopping, the drums outside, all in a unique and interesting venue. It's wonderful to see all the different dancers and groups perform all day, the variety and see what's new out in the world of belly dance; I liked that there were a few more groups doing traditional folk and did their own singing and music- that was great. ~Christine Young

I love the location of the Cairo Caravan festival. I think the Queen Mary is a perfect location. You can park your car on Friday and never have to move it again until you go home. I thought the drum circle and open dance was one of your better ideas. It was a very positive way to show belly dance to tourists who just happened to be passing by.~Linda L. Erland
The performances are always great. I performed and Ive always appreciated the fact that it's open to all levels. I think it's (the drum circle) great. The tourists seem to love it and I like that they are already getting a glimpse of real belly dance and not the 'R' stuff they think (it is).~Maria Antoinette Garcia
I'd just like to say how much I appreciated the free lectures, workshops and films that were added to Cairo Caravan this year. It adds a wonderful and completely new dimension to the festival. I applaud the genius (or geniuses) who came up with the idea, and to everyone who must have worked very hard too make them happen. I really hope they are offered again next year, because I'm already planning to extend my usual festival day so I can sit in on more of the programs. ~DeAnna Cameron www.deannacameron.com

The workshops and the Saturday Night Show! The workshops were world class and the show was one of the best I have ever seen. The shadows tossed from the dancers on to the ceiling of the hall were mysterious. ~Mariama
