9 hours = free 3-day weekend admission, or
6 hours = 2 free days admission, or
3 hours = 1 day free admission.
Minimum time to sign up for is 3 hours for 1 day free admission. We also have other great amminities for volunteers who are interested in taking a more primary role. Contact us today!
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Friday, June 3 (Set up)
5-8 volunteers for loan in at loading dock (for vendors)
2 volunteers for MECDA set up (workstation - volunteer check in, dancer check in, raffle, membership table)
4 volunteers to help throughout the building
1 elevator person (Reliable and physically capable to lift boxes, and possibly heavy gear, etc)
3 outside elevator persons (stand just outside the elevator on each level and help vendors out of the elevator quickly)
2-4 volunteers to set up workshop room (table, chairs, etc)]
2-4 volunteers for the parking lot (keep vendors in line, in cars, explain how things work, keep things going smoothly)
3-6 volunteers who are “ask me” people…they will have answers for everyone (vendor maps, how to get to hotels when they are done unloading, where bathrooms are, etc)
4 volunteers for dressing room set up
2 volunteers for banner hanging
Friday, June 3 (Event)
2 volunteers for workshop entrance
2 volunteers to help workshop instructors with anything they need
1 volunteer for lecture/seminar
1 gate person for stairway
3 volunteers to sell programs
3 volunteers who are “ask me” people (one for each floor)
2 volunteers for main entrance (1 on either side of the walkway)
1 volunteer for elevator person (this person can direct them to which floor has food, bathrooms, stages, etc.)
1 stage manager per stage (2 stages)
2 volunteers for dancer check in
1-2 volunteers to assist with volunteer check in
2 volunteer for membership/merchandise table
2 dressing room attendants (1 for each)
2 emcees, one for each stage
2 greeters, inside entrance
2 videographer assistants (one per stage)
3 volunteers to deter audience videotaping (1 per stage)
Saturday, June 4 (Event)
2 volunteers for workshop entrance
2 volunteers to help workshop instructors with anything they need
